Recap: D.C. Housewife Hosts MODUS Union 2010
By DC Fab • January 15th, 2010
Set in the glamorous Mayflower Hotel, MODUS UNION 2010 hosted by rumored Real Housewives of D.C. cast member Mary Amons, brought together art, philanthropy and fashion last night. For an hour, socialites and fashionistas enjoyed an open bar while trying to catch a chance to be caught on the many cameras focused on housewives. Also, a fashion show put on by Lela Rose (Mary Amons is wearing one of her dresses in the photo above — I love it!) featured models from the area including fellow blogger Kate Micheal of KStreetKate.net.
Spotted were Stacie Turner and Lynda Erkiletia along with rumored male cast mates Ebong Eka and Paul Wharton who said, “I keep it really real…but I have nothing to say on that one. Watch what happens!” when asked to give a hint on the upcoming reality series.
There was also some amazing art exhibits showcased during the reception. My favorite was native Washingtonian Maggie O’Neal whose fashion inspired pieces were colorful, fun, flirty and fabulous. An artist for 15 years, Maggie also paints clothing on the canvas and actually… on your clothes. Maggie dished that her favorite designer is Pucci because she’s obsessed with color, which is clear from her artwork.
Also spotted were Blonde Charity Mafia’s Krista Johnson and alleged White House crasher Carlos Allen.
