You asked for it so we had to deliver…and this time we did so in a major way! It’s “An Insider’s Guide to Howard University’s Homecoming 2009″. Highlighting the best parties during homecoming weekend along with last minute tips on how to score a hotel room, where to get your hair hooked up or even where to get a shape up, the Insider’s Guide is a one-stop show for everything Howard University Homecoming.
Show your Bison pride this weekend by picking up some extra paraphernalia at some spots we suggest and of course we have the info on all of the official events sponsored by the Homecoming Steering Committee (Shout out to Tyler!).

This is nice but definitely for people visiting DC or HU and NOT a representation of a student or alumni perspective of Howard’s homecoming. Homecoming is so much more. Did the writer actually attend Howard or just the homecoming, cause ANYONE can repeat information. I guess it’s ok if you’re just interested in having a good time but let’s not make this out for more than it is.

.. I dont think she wrote it from the student perspective– she gave us an Insiders Guide to the CBC Week but you don’t see her walking the halls of Congress—
Good job Joi– bump haters even those who went to Howard and truth be told there isnt much to do these days during homecoming for the students besides the typical overpriced hyped up weekend anyway–.
Oh well, glad I have my pocket guide just in case.

I don’t think you need to be an “insider” to have an “insider’s guide”. This is such a great effort and PERFECT for out of towners. It’s a guide to the parties and events, which is EXACTLY what visitors want. I don’t think it was intended for Howard alum who already know the traditions of homecoming.
Take a chill pill.

I’d like to hip you to a party that takes place every Thursday at Bourbon in Adams Morgan. It’s called Uncle Q’s Living Room. It features Supa Qool DJ Uncle Q, DJ Dredd and Harry Hotter spinning classic Soul, R&B, Hip-Hop and Dancehall. It’s ideally for the music lovers that enjoy DANCING!

I don’t think that this is an insider’s guide either.
Also, the plural of “bison” is “bison” and not “bisons.” Every true Howard Bison knows this, so it was kind of obvious that this was a guide or a listing.
Still a good production to send to your friends that have no idea what is going on. Better yet, http://bisonhomecoming.com will also do the trick.

2nd thing missing…..9th Wonder and Cuzzin B bring the world reknowned, internationally acclaimed True School Party. This is the same party that took over HU Homecoming w/ Ms. Erykah Badu hosting. Who knows who’ll show up with 9th Wonder in the building…
