With HIV/AIDS taking over the District as well as being the leading cause of death among African American women ages 25-34, Bag Ladies Reality Radio is pushing the message that there is no reason to die from a disease that can be easily prevented.

Bag Ladies Reality Radio launches Bag Ladies Aids Project, a campaign to promote National HIV Testing Day which is on Saturday, June 27th, 2009.

Their featured mix and mingle event will be held on Thursday, June 25 at Indulj Restaurant and Lounge (1208 U Street, NW) from 5-8 p.m. Sponsored by Trojan Brand Condoms, Spike DDB, Pampering Junkies, The Body, GiGi , Vagisil and OPI Products, Inc. among others.

With on-site testing and free manicures, enjoy a screening of the Spike Lee produced PSA on AIDS entitled, “Stand,” and take home goodie bags.

Bag Ladies, based in the District, is an intimate and entertaining reality radio show “about the reality of life, living and being a woman.” Hosted by Lady Erin, Madame Myra, Miz Adams and airs live every Tuesday from 7 - 9:30 p.m EST.
