Obamas to Host White House’s First Poetry Slam

Wow, change really has come into the White House. I’m loving the culture that the Obamas are bringing to the White House, especially since they’ve announced the White House’s first (ever!) Poetry Slam featuring actor James Earl Jones; poet Mayda Del Valle, novelist Michael Chabon, jazz musicians ELEW and Esperanza Spalding along with playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Only 100 people were invited to attend this exclusive event honoring America’s writers and poets. Desiree, where is my invitation ma-yan?!
